SOCIAL WELLNESS
Values & Giving Back
Social Wellness exists to help people live better lives by making health, movement, strength, habits and ageing easier to understand and easier to put into practice. These are the ideas that sit underneath the work.
What we stand for
01
DIGNITY
Every person has worth
Worth is not earned through achievement, fitness or appearance. People matter because they are people. Behaviour usually makes more sense when you know more of the story.
02
KINDNESS
No shame, no perfect way
Shame is a poor motivator. There is no version of this where you are behind, and no single right programme. If something has not stuck before, the starting point was probably too big.
03
SIMPLICITY
Small steps, kept up
Habits matter more than motivation. Consistency matters more than intensity. Most people need a simpler starting point and the next useful step.
04
PURPOSE
Health serves life
Health is not the purpose of life, but it affects almost every part of taking part in it. The goal is a body capable enough to show up for what matters.
05
CONNECTION
Together, people flourish
Isolation damages people. Belonging and community help them thrive. The greatest predictor of success is often not discipline, but doing it with someone.
06
HUMILITY
Curious and honest
Strong opinions, held with enough humility to change when better information comes along. More interested in what helps people live better than in being right.
“Encourage other people. Be humble about your own progress. Someone doing their first walk around the block is doing something more courageous than someone running their fifth marathon. They are just less likely to be celebrated for it.”
